What we collect
Solve A Word doesn't collect, store, or transmit personal information about you. The unscrambler and word lists run entirely in your web browser. Your inputs are never sent to our servers.
Cookies and consent
We use essential browser storage to make the site work and to remember your cookie choice. Optional analytics only load if you choose "Allow analytics" in the cookie banner. Choosing "Essential only" loads no analytics or advertising.
Analytics
If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (which pages are popular, how long people stay, what devices they use). This data is aggregated and doesn't identify you. You can also opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising
We don't currently show ads on this site. If that changes, we'll use Google AdSense, and third parties including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You'll be able to opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings, and you can read how Google uses data on partner sites. Any advertising cookies would load only after you allow them in the cookie banner.
Third-party requests
When you click a word to see its definition, we fetch it from the Free Dictionary API (dictionaryapi.dev). That request contains only the word you clicked, no personal data.
Data Retention
We do not store any user data. There are no accounts, no search history, and no user profiles.
Children's Privacy
Our service is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
